Establishing Healthy Habits
Children may feel uneasy about going to the dentist. They might have negative associations due to past visits or from stories they heard from their friends at school. But a positive and supportive environment can help alleviate their worries.
At our Regina clinic, we make it our mission to help put kids at ease so that they can get the dental care they need with a minimum of stress. We also help them develop positive associations with visiting the dentist to keep them coming back as adults.
This includes personalized conversations about their favourite shows playing on the TV in the treatment room, flavoured fluoride and prizes for having the courage to come to the dentist. We’ll also explain each step of the process, in a child-friendly way, and ask their permission before continuing so that they feel comfortable and in control of their own dental experience.
Schedule an appointment with us today and let us show your child that visiting the dentist can be a positive and enjoyable experience.
Your Child's First Visit
Generally, we recommend that children make their first visit to the dentist between ages two and three. This allows the dentist to check for any early signs of dental issues and provide guidance on proper oral hygiene practices.
Dental Services for Kids
Our services can be tailored to meet your child's oral health needs and keep their smile healthy.
Preventive Dental Hygiene
Preventive care is essential for maintaining healthy teeth and gums. Regular dental check-ups, cleanings and fluoride treatments can help prevent cavities and other oral health issues in children. It is also important to teach kids proper brushing and flossing techniques to ensure good oral hygiene habits from a young age.
Restorative Dental Services
Restorative care for children may include procedures such as fillings, crowns and root canals to repair damaged teeth. These treatments aim to restore the function of your child's teeth, promote oral health and prevent further complications.
